Ben Thomson has lead the way with 24 and 3 for 10 off 6 overs to lead Old Geelong 2nd XI to it's 2nd win in two matches under his leadership.
Winning the toss and choosing to bat we were soon in trouble on a pitch that would prove hard to bat on being 2 for 1 loosing Andrew Bouvier and Darren Edmunds in quick succession. Rommel Nouman played with aggression combining with Charlie Mann but he was out bowled by Andrew Baker from MCC for 12 and despite a decent scoring rate wickets kept falling with Charlie Mann top scoring with 36.
But it was Ben Thomson who batted with the tail that impressed most as he helped get us to 131 all out.
Rommel opened the bowling with raw pace that saw him clean bowl Ritche Savage and Ben Thomson bowled a clear spell of 6 overs getting 3 for 10.
Charlie Mann came on and bowled with nice flight and finished with 2 for 11 off 7 overs.
The veterans Roly Imhoff 1 for 8 off 6 overs and Trevor Maggs 2 for 14 off 4.2 bowled well also and with Maggsy getting the final wicket combining with Jules Landy for a nice catch as keeper.
All the bowlers bowled extremely well and in the end we bowled the MCC out for 90.
